"Street Photography" Competition 7:30pm - 10:00pm

7:30pm – 8:00pm: Socializing/Networking

8:00pm: Competition begins

The theme for this competition is street photography. Street photography is defined as a branch of realistic fine art photography that records unposed scenes in public places. The primary subject is people in rest or in motion but it is not a personal identity image such as portraiture and it is not photojournalism as there is no news happening. It is a moment of everday life captured as it is happening.

"To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as the precise organization of forms which give that event its proper expression." --Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004)
