SCC Members and their friends or families are invited to join us at Waterloo Village Historic Site on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 for a photography outing.  We will meet at 10 AM in the parking lot.  

This is a great opportunity to photograph the fall colors and historic buildings at Waterloo.

This is an SCC User Group meeting.  SCC Members can submit up to 3 photos on Photo Contest Pro to be critiqued by two of the SCC Master Photographers.  If you are planning to submit photos in EXPO and are not sure which ones to submit, this is a good opportunity to get some feedback.  Or, if you just want to know more about what makes a good photo, this is a perfect opportunity to learn.

Please submit 3 photos on Photocontest Pro (EXPO Photo Critique) by October 14.  They should be jpegs and 1050 pixels on the longest side.

Would you like to print and mat your own photos?  Please join Virginia Kolstad for an in depth explanation on how to print and mat your photos for competition.  SCC is holding its annual EXPO print competition in November.  This is a good opportunity to find out the best ways to prepare a print for a competition.

Virginia will cover the various aspects of printing, i.e equipment, paper, and the technical aspects of printing from Photoshop or Lightroom.  This will be followed by an explanation on how to cut a mat and mat a photo. 

Virginia has been printing her own work for over 10 years and loves doing it.

The meeting is open to non members, especially those who are thinking of entering EXPO.  It is recommended that you attend in person.  However, it will be broadcast on Webex if you wish to attend virtually.  

 This is the last date to submit photos for the Sparta Camera Club EXPO.  Photos can be dropped off between 7 PM and 8:30 PM this evening at the Ambulance Squad Building in Sparta.
