The Sparta Camera Club is hosting a talk by sport photography expert Carmine Romeneill. The talk covers the elements of great sports photography and how to capture these moments at all levels of play. The discussion includes how to position yourself to take a sports photo, what moments to look for and the best camera setting for sports photography. The discussion will encompass photos and techniques used by the greats in sports photography. Carmin Romanelli is the Vice President of Sports Business Development at Getty Images. Based out of New York City, Carmin is a veteran of the Sports Business Industry having spent the last 12 years of his career with Getty Images. Prior to joining Getty Images, Carmin spent over 11 years at the National Basketball Association where as Senior Director, he headed up NBA Entertainment Photos. Carmin’s current responsibilities include managing the Getty Images Sports Team which oversees relationships with various sports leagues and governing bodies including NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, UFC, College Sports, LPGA, USTA, WTA, ATP, Sports Illustrated and others. In addition to managing these sport relationships, Carmin and the Getty Images Sports Team are also responsible for managing sport product globally and charged with generating significant revenue for Getty Images. Carmin attended the Media Arts Center for Photography and has a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
