    For the second consecutive year the Sparta Camera Club is partnering with Art Etc. to enable a Club photo exhibit and sale.  This is yet another perk afforded our dues-paying members.  One year ago, we were limited to framed/wired artwork.  This year, in addition to your inventory of framed photos, we are expanding the exhibit to include your EXPO XXXIII matted entries!*

    To have your photos included in the exhibit, it is necessary that you complete a Contract developed by Art Etc., and an accompanying Inventory Form (see links below).  The Contract must be signed in ink and forwarded to our Club's Leadership Team, with the attached Inventory Form.  Ideally, we would like each prospective entrant to bring their signed Contract (and Inventory Form) during EXPO set-up:

    Please be advised that there is limited wall space for the announced exhibit/sale. Photos will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

    * Matted (unframed) photos must be exhibited in protective plastic sleeves.  Art Etc. is charging our members $0.25 per sleeve. These fees will be collected when you submit your completed Contract/Inventory Form.  Please note the Inventory Form is similar to typical online forms...allowing keyboard data entry.  Otherwise, you can print the form and enter the data in ink.

    Sparta Camera Club will have two new initiatives for our dues-paying members at EXPO XXXIII on November 18 and 19.  In addition to displaying/selling all of the juried photos, we will allow the sale of your personal...

    1. Matted inventory.  These matted photographs must be placed in a typical folding print rack (canvas* or wood), and priced.
    2. Photography equipment that you are no longer using, but in good operating condition.  You can consider anything from complete camera/lens gear to accessories.  Each item has to be visible (out-of-box unless brand new) with an affixed price tag.
    Concerning both of the above initiatives, Sparta Camera Club will retain 20% of all sales.

    *Members who might consider purchasing a new canvas folding print rack...this item is typically sold in three sizes.  Consider the medium size if your mats are not much bigger than 16 x 20.  The mini rack stands much lower to the floor, and therefore should be avoided.

    It is required that each member complete a separate Inventory Form for each of the above initiatives.  Please click on the links below to acquire forms.  For those members who are accustomed to completing online forms, these forms allow keyboard data entry.  Otherwise, you can print the forms and enter the data in ink.  If your inventory requires additional forms, please fill out the text box information first, then save a copy to your desktop (name the file as you like).  When you open the file on your desktop, you can begin entering the data as described.  Only complete the information in the first 3 columns; the last 3 columns will be completed at point of sale.

    Photos should meet the following criteria:

    1.       They should be jpegs.

    2.      They should be edited in RGB Color Space

    3.      They should be full size.

    4.      The title of the photo, the name of the photographer and the location (if not included in the title) should be added to the lower right or left corner of the photo.

    Announcement by SCAHC

    We are offering current SCAHC member artists, who have not reserved a space of their own at the Festival of Art, the opportunity to have a portfolio on display in the SCAHC tent. The cost is $10 for each stand and the Council will keep 25% of the sales. Artists must provide their own stand, up to 15 matted works and an inventory / price list. The artwork must be wrapped in plastic and labeled with the artist’s name, title, medium, and price.

    The stands and artwork must be delivered to the Spring Street gallery by Wednesday, September 13.

    Stands and unsold artwork must be picked up by Friday, September 22 unless other arrangements have been made.

    This beautiful setting will provide a perfect backdrop for you to display and sell your work.

    The Festival is non-juried and open to all artists 21 years or older. We welcome both 2-dimensional and 3.
