Sparta Camera Club is planning a Milky Way Outing at a new location in Stillwater, NJ for July 13 - 17 (weather dependent). If you are interested in joining us for this outing, please register on the website. We will provide information in advance for those of you who are new to astrophotography. The event itself requires VERY clear skies, so the date will be selected as we get closer.

This event is for SCC Members only.

SCC is holding its annual summer picnic on Sunday, July 26 from 12 to 3 pm.  The picnic will be in Stillwater, NJ.  Location will be provided along with directions in the club newsletter.  

There will be games, a swimming pool and most of all a chance to catch up and get to know your fellow members.

This event is for SCC Members and their spouses or significant others only.

The club will hold an outing at the Sussex County Fair during Fair Week. The exact date is yet to be determined. We will meet at the Richards Building, where the Photography in Sussex County Photography Exhibit is located. We will check out the horse competitions, get some night shots at the Midway, and shoot other exhibits while we are there.

Watch for more details and exact dates as we get closer. Fair week is July 31 - August 8.

September 9, 7:30 pm.  The club's first meeting of the 2026/27 Season will be a Photoshare.  The theme will be Americana, in honor of the country's 250th Birthday as a Nation.  Up to four photos can be entered on Photo Contest Pro.  The photos can be on any 250th celebration event such as parades, re-enactments, fairs and/or other scenes that capture the spirit of 1776.  Shots may be taken anywhere where a U.S. 250th celebration or event is occurring.  Please avoid photos which may have a political message or reference.  

The meeting will be held in-person and broadcast on Webex. Whereas the meeting is open to the public, the photoshare is for members only.
