Please join us for the SCC 40th EXPO Photography Print Exhibition at the Sparta Ambulance Squad Building on Saturday and Sunday, November 15th and 16th.  The Exhibit follows the Print Competition held on November 5th.  All prints submitted will be exhibited at the Exhibition which will be open for two days, Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, November 15th, 12 to 7:00 PM.  The exhibit opens at noon.  From 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be an artist's reception in which food and drink will be served.   Best in Show and Best in Class Awards are given at the reception.    

This year, we are celebrating our 40 year history as a club.  Photos and old documents will be available at the Exhibit to review.  

Sunday, November 16th, 12 to 5 PM.  The second day of the exhibit.  The People's Choice award will be given at 4 pm.  

Members are selling photos and equipment at this exhibit.  Please stop by and see if there is anything you need or want.  

This exhibit is open to the public.  

This is the second part of the Phil Echo presentation on Expanding Your Vision.  The first part of his presentation was on September 10.  This is the second part.  This presentation will be virtual only and will take place on November 19.

Here is Phil's description:

“The lecture will be in two parts.  The purpose of this lecture is to not only discuss how to recognize a picture taking opportunity, but more importantly to challenge the conservative way of seeing. The traditional way of seeing  often leads to ordinary photographs. I will help you learn how to better focus your thoughts BEFORE you click the shutter button. This two-part discussion will help guide photographers to increase the impact, storytelling and balance of their images. “

Phil is an award winning photographer that has also published his work in a variety of publications.  

The meeting will start at 7:00 pm.

The annual SCC holiday party will be held Wednesday, December 10 at the Sparta Ambulance Building.  The party starts at 7 PM.  

All Members and their guests are welcome.  

We will be holding our annual Facebook Competition at this event. Photos can be entered on Photo Contest Pro.  They must be wider than they are high to fit the header.  We recommend a ratio of about 820 pixels wide by360 high.  The photos can be on any subject.

Members are asked to bring something to share.  This may include appetizers, finger food, and desserts.  

This is a fun evening and a great opportunity to get to know your fellow members.
