    Photo Critique with Buddy Eleazer

    The  members of the Sparta Camera Club  have the opportunity to have their nature photography critiqued by award willing photographer Buddy Eleazer.


    Nature Critique:  Buddy Eleazer, an award winning nature photographer, has agreed to critique your photos in advance of the NJFCC Nature Competition to be held at Sparta Camera Club on April 22nd 2020. 


    Photographers may submit up to three nature images,  Nature images include, botanicals, ornithological, zoological and general nature.  No man-made objects may appear in the photos.  Images may be submitted using Photo Contest Pro.  (See instructions below.)


    Buddy Eleazer was an active hobby photographer in the 70’s. He became serious about photography with the development of digital camera.  He is known for his landscape and wildlife  photography. Much of his work focuses on African wildlife and North American birds. He goes to Southern Africa and Kenya about 6-8 times a year. He describes himself as a nature photographer who loves both landscape and wildlife.  In terms of photographic style he takes what is considered the safe shot first.  He then looks for tight shots,  panning shots and creative shots. 


    His work has appeared in Popular Photography, National Geographic, and  the Epson Panorama Awards.  Eleazer leads small tour groups through Magnum Excursions. http://www.magnumexcursion.com


    Guidelines for Placing Digital Images on Photo Contest Pro
     
    1. Image files should  be converted to sRGB color space.
    2. Images must be JPEG’s.
    3. Images size must be 1050 pixels along the longest edge. 
    4. The photographer’s name, trademark and/or copyright may not appear on an image
    5. Photos entered into the critique may be used by the club on the club webpage

    The Photoshop user group explores Adobe Photoshop software through a collaborative learning model.  The group determines the area of focus.


    The group is open only to our members.

    Since the early days of our art form, photographers have been exploring our planet’s endless gallery of natural art and celebrating its beauty in photographic images.  Nature photographer David DesRoche will share his techniques for finding and capturing unique images of the endless natural art our planet has to offer. A $5 donation will be requested from non club members at the door.    

    Since being inspired by a trip to Glacier National Park, David and his wife Cathy have traveled the world photographing the wonders of nature. David’s photos have appeared in several books, calendars and magazines and has published articles for Nature Photographer Magazine. He has been teaching and judging photography for over 15 years as well as being a feature speaker for NJ Audubon Birding Festival, New England Camera Club Council and New York City Sierra Club. He received the 2014 NJ Federation of Camera Clubs Citation.
