The Sparta Camera Club meets twice monthly, usually on the first and third Wednesday of the month September through June, at 8:00pm in the Sparta Public Library in Sparta, NJ. The club is dedicated to all phases of photography and has exhibits and competitions for the beginner through the advanced photographer. The club has informative meetings and in-club competitions. NJ Public Library Hosts Exhibit of Ron Douros’ Photography |
SUSSEX/WANTAGE, NJ, JULY 19, 2008 – The Public Library located at 69 Route 639 in Wantage is displaying a sampling of the Photographic and Art work of Ron Douros, a local Sussex County resident. The artist is a member of local photography clubs: Photographers of Sussex County and The Sparta Camera Club. Ron has won several awards in local photo contests the last few years and has some unique work on display at the Library until mid-August.
More than a dozen framed photographs are on display in the lobby of the library; most are for sale at a reasonable price. Additional images are also available to view and for sale on the following website: www.yessey.com/rondouros. All images are Copyright Ron Douros.
“This is a great opportunity for me!” says Ron. “It is a chance for my neighbors to see images of local places with a unique perspective; and to encourage everyone to enjoy the local sights in New Jersey.” Most of Ron’s work on display highlights places in Sussex County and places like the George Washington Bridge [from a unique angle]. Anyone interested in photography, local scenery, or the Arts are encouraged to visit the library and view the exhibit.
Ron has included some pieces which are not for sale; however, most of Ron’s work can be purchased inexpensively online on yessey.com. Additionally, Ron has acquired the equipment necessary to custom mat and frame his [and other] artwork.
