SCC Regular Meeting Announcement: "Print of the Year" Competition

Annually for the 2nd meeting in May, SCC holds an a "Print of the Year" Competition. 

 

The theme is basically just like what it sounds to be.  Bring up to 4 prints of the your best images taken in the last year (since last year's Print of the Year Competition).  The same rules that apply to prints in all other in-club competitions apply to this competition as well.

 

At the end of the evening the 1st place winning image from each class (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master) will be evaluated by our judges and one of those images will be selected as "Print of the Year".

 

7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. - Socializing/Networking

8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - "Print of the Year" Competition


Please note the following requirements:

· Images must have been taken within 1 year of the competition
· Prints should be rectangular and not smaller than 10” by 8” nor larger than 12" by 16". They should be matted but not framed with the maximum size of the mat not exceeding 16” by 20”.
· There must be no markings on the image or the front of the mat that can identify the photographer
· An image may have been entered in a previous club competition or EXPO XXVI.
· Bring prints with you on the night of the meeting. Please be early to allow for checking in. the building will be open by 7.30pm
· Members can enter up to four prints, black or white in any combination.
· There is no theme, enter whatever you like (but must be family friendly).
· Each print must have a label on the back, in the top left corner, showing the photographer's name, the image title and the class entered.
· Classes are beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you do not specify a class, we will place the image in Intermediate.


There are no digital entries for this competition.
